Algebra problem (46)

The solution is my own.

Problem

Find x if 5log(x+3) = 6log(x+14).

Solution

If.... 5log(x+3) = p than........5p= x + 3
If.... 6log(x+14)= p than........6p= x + 14
so
6p - 5p = 11
p = 2
5log(x+3) = 2 = 5log(25)
x + 3 = 25
x = 22
